East Staffordshire Youth Theatre was formed by a group of young Musical Performers who wanted to put on their own show. Our producer and Choreographer started out by running shows with the performing arts charity RicNic and wanted to carry on putting on their own shows. The team was formed in August 2023 with the company officially launching in December 2023.
We put on 1 production a year (in the Summer) and aim to make this 2 (1 in the Summer and 1 in the Winter) in the future. Each show has different licensing requirements however most of the time the students will be between the ages of 13 and 21. We work closely with businesses across the county to provide performance and rehearsal spaces, set, props, costumes and opportunities for young people to get involved behind the scenes in the show.
